This conference room in the Highlands Municipal Building is designed for modern telecommunication needs while paying homage to its coastal surroundings. Featuring a spacious conference table, executive task chairs upholstered in a rich teal vinyl that echoes oceanic textures, and a coordinating credenza, the space blends professionalism with local character. A thoughtful nod to the sea, seamlessly integrated into a setting built for connection and collaboration.

A fresh perspective on civic design! Settembrino Architects reimagined the Highlands Municipal Courtroom with a coastal-inspired take on traditional courtroom aesthetics. Tailored Workspaces for Leadership & Efficiency
The Highlands Municipal Building features a series of thoughtfully designed offices that balance style with purpose. The sergeants’ office maximizes a compact footprint with efficient layouts, complete with overhead storage and pedestal files to keep everything within reach. The police chief’s office blends masculine, traditional, and modern elements — a clean, refined space that reflects his leadership. Meanwhile, the captain’s office echoes the same aesthetic, customized to support his day-to-day responsibilities with function-forward furnishings and timeless design.

The second staff break area in the Highlands Municipal Building offers a welcoming, functional retreat for employees, while the dedicated reprographic storage area ensures organized access to essential materials. The patrol room and detective’s office mirror the clean, cohesive design seen throughout the building — blending durability and professionalism with a unified aesthetic that supports every role, from behind-the-scenes operations to frontline service.

Welcome to WPU's Metro Lounge
As the first space students see when entering, the Metro Lounge sets the tone for a vibrant, student-centered experience. Outfitted with modular lounge seating, study-friendly zones, a cyber bar for charging devices or collaborating on laptops, refreshed wall paint, and area rugs, this dynamic space is designed for flexibility and comfort. Whether it’s a quick recharge between classes or a place to study and socialize, the Metro Lounge is a true campus touchdown space — where connection meets convenience.

More Than Furniture - a Partner in Transformation
Our ballroom renovation at William Paterson University showcases the full scope of our capabilities. From specifying custom carpet and WPU’s signature orange ballroom chairs to providing lounge seating, blackout drapes, wallcoverings, and acoustical panels — we delivered a cohesive, functional, and visually impactful space. As a furniture dealership, we go beyond products, collaborating closely with flooring vendors, textile manufacturers, and general contractors to ensure every detail supports the client’s vision and the end user’s experience.

Flexible Spaces, Thoughtful Design
At William Paterson University, we guided the client through additional lounge and conference room solutions that support both comfort and versatility. The modular lounge seating — complete with integrated occasional tables — offers ergonomic support and functionality outside of the conference rooms. Inside, the same signature chairs from the ballroom provide continuity, stacking 10 high and easily stored on custom dollies in designated closets. The result: a reconfigurable, user-friendly environment that adapts to the university’s evolving needs without sacrificing design.
